For here and now in this environment, there is NOTHING magical about 1000 TPIC. All it does is allow one to fill out certain applications.

After having said 1000 TPIC to fill out certain apps, the "magic" doesn't happen till things get added to the resume/app like sim inst., LCA, IP, Stand eval/NATOPs, assistant cheif pilot, COMBINED with the standard internal recs/sponsors.

Again, that's here and now in the current hiring environment.

I know, I know, EVERYBODY has the "well I know someone that got hired at (insert airline here) with 1000 PIC and didn't know anyone" story. And that's great for them, it happens. But those people are in a minority. Again, in this environment/hiring situation.
