Different strokes for different folks I guess. I have a 2-5 hour butt, so anything pushing a transcon and I get the itch to jump out. 12-14 hour overnights are perfect. Get in, sleep, get out and get done (ie. SWA, jetBlue, etc). I've been all over the world in the military and I can continue traveling on my off time.
I'm sure the above flying is easily attainable at the cargo companies, but it's just pure personal preference.
I have a buddy at SWA that says the same thing. I don't fully get it.
Cargo-- limited exposure to TSA, no douchey passengers. Need the Lav? No negotiating with an FA to take a leak, tired? I go hop in a bunk, Hungry? I go back and fix myself something to eat. Get off the plane in a different country...
