AC jazz or any regional level job in Canada will take a lot more hours then here in the states. Underneath those mins is posted the following :
Pilot applicants far exceed the number of job vacancies available, so preference will be given to candidates with qualifications exceeding the basic requirements. Examples of such desirable qualifications include, but are not limited to:
experience in Airline Operations (i.e. CAR 705 operations);
turbine engine experience;
jet experience;
heavy aircraft (i.e. greater than 12,500 lbs. MTOW) experience;
post secondary education; and
French language ability.

From the Canadian pilots I've talked to it takes ATLEAST 3,000 hours to get noticed by Jazz.
