I agree with but, the problem with holding out is it is expensive to build multi engine time and support a family at the same time. I did the CFII route for about a year to build some time but realized I didn't enjoy it and somewhat felt guilty by flooding the labor market with low time pilots which makes the regional pay to go down. Supply and Demand. I am not hounding HONEST instructors but I am disappointed when I hear instructors sell a lie to young student about how great the pay will be once they get their Commercial Multi ticket just so hat the instructor can build his/her hours.
