I left before the contract with the IBT was done, so I don't know what restrictions they have now, but in the past Cape has had a 1 year full time commitment, then you could fly part time or on call. There weren't year-round ACK based pilots, but HYA and other domiciles had retired major airline pilots, both as full timers and on call.
Nothing has really changed restriction wise. If you already have your ATP, then they expect you to give them 6 months full time, then you can try for part time after that. Those are approved or denied on a case by case basis, and it's really up to the company, not a lot of language concerning part timers in the contract. And we do have I think 2 year round slots in ACK, or you could get HYA, which is more likely, and you'd either end up doing island flying or ACK-BOS flying. But if you want to retire here, you should have no problems, we have plenty of guys here who have done that.
