To tell you the truth, I could really care less about what the effect of voting on this TA has on other groups. Not like they have raised the bar AT ALL for us to build on, at least since the JCBA. It's kinda like I don't care what the Public thinks about this either. The question is, is it good for the Delta Pilot group or not? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder....

The blowback of 90 seater outsourcing at the lowest bidder not only hammers DCI pilot groups, but their plight becomes our lost leverage. The two are very much related. We put them in an endless death spiral of cost pressures and that has already come back to haunt us. Money losing 50 seaters are one thing, but mainline CASM turnkey profit DC-9 replacement jets represents a lot more lost current and future leverage long after the "raises" we got are buried by inflation and we are in the next round of negotiations with an even larger baseline of cut throat narrowbody lift that we allowed.
