Most pilots who sell scope don't care. It's pretty easy not to care when you're a 767 CA and it doesn't affect you. Would you care if they offered up the 747 or 777? I bet your position would be completely different when it comes to scope.
The comment wasn't whether one cares or doesn't, because it's obvious. Those that vote "yes" don't care. Mostly for the reason that it doesn't affect them. It's about the statement that only Delta pilots have to live under this contract. That's very naive to say the least and shows a complete lack of knowledge of what's happening at the regionals and the industry for that matter.
You say the question is, "is it good for the Delta Pilot group or not?" How is it good for the Delta pilot group to give up 70 (I think that's the #) more 76 seaters? The company has agreed to payrates for that sized on more than one occasion? How is it good to give more large airplanes away? I've seen the payrates and up until year 11 the left seat pays more than the right seat of the md88/90, 717 and dc9. The right seat at the end of your contract will have similar payscales to what the md88/90 and dc9 did just a few years ago. Is that good for the Delta pilot group to give such flying away?
