Who in their right mind thought that was a good idea, yet we bankrolled a good number of these guys. I could maybe understand doing it for any public institution, although again the cost may be still way out of control, but they covered ridiculous expensive private school for a certain number that happened to get the the "free-for-all" program (before congress realized their error). Talk about just dumping money. On the other hand, I don't know of many college students that are expecting "free" tuition, although I know what generation created the huge drain on resources and excessive spending way beyond our ability to recapture...
