In the defense of our reps, they had a horrific choice to make this time. They didn't know that the MEC administration had already agreed to ignore the survey results until they read the TA that had been produced. Then the reps were faced with two very tough choices. Unanimously vote NO and send an embarrassed and angry MEC administration back to negotiate with management, or vote YES and hope to learn from the mistake of trusting this MEC administration.
Five reps did exactly that by voting NO and actually speaking on behalf of the members. The other 14 that voted YES won't survive the fallout from this regardless of how this TA ends.
