The excuse given is sad. The excuse given by some of the supporters even more so. They were asked not to be present? And they complied? Double-fault.
If you're being driven away from a meeting in your own council, or you find it important to attend other events, or fly a trip, you've got no excuse.
Fire, ready, aim. Did you call or write your reps? I did. The roadshow was scheduled on barely a weeks notice. Capt was on left coast looking after an ailing parent, planned, well in advance, FO was at a planned reunion, and ST was out flying trying to wrap up consolidation on a new acft. The roadshows are informational, not editorial or a political forum, and I'm very pleased with the written explanations for their votes.
