I could careless if the new FO had Zero hours, just as long as he is capable to do his job. You guys fixated on this time thing, its more an ego thing then safety. prove me wrong!

Point out one accident at the majors that was contributed to the low time FO, now an under qualified CA there out there and if I was a new FO I wouldn't fly with them. That's the problem. You should have at least four years experience at a company before bidding to captain and new start ups should have to hire street captains with at least four years experience as a PIC
