Air America is one of several operators that scavenge off of the three larger flight schools based at KDAB. As with any of the competitors that lure students away from the big three with low rates you should pay attention to the aircraft maintenance as this is often where low cost operators may pinch pennies when times are tough. They also utilize flight instructors that are independent contractors, so the teaching techniques and instructor fees may vary greatly. That said, Air America has outlasted other schools and been around longer than their current low cost competition, so they must be doing something right.
I've been involved in flight training in this area for almost a decade, and also run a small flight training company myself. If you have any questions about the local flight schools around here, feel free to PM me.
