^This. Although I believe there is a training contract now, history has shown that low time FO's tend to get burned out and look for employment elsewhere. If you go to Cape Air and leave with no PIC, then you have truly wasted your time. I'm not implying that you would do the same, but that is the reason the company is wary of low timers.
