Welcome Seeburg, some great points on your post. One thing I have noticed when I get a freq change is that I don't usually say who I am. In the small sectors that last about 20 miles (over JFK) I check on, get traffic advisories off of JFK (or 2) and then get a freq change. By the time I get the new freq I feel that the controller knows who I am just by my voice. I know that is not the case in most instances but alot of time it is. To me radio transmitions these days are very clear, so much so that you can very distinctly tell who is talking, that may be a problem in some areas, when it is, I will identify myself; when it's not, and I know the controller is busy, I will shorten my goodbye.
My pet-peave.....ya'll having to work about 3 freqs at the same time!! we never know when to check on then!
Thanks for all you do! - BCD
