My ramp mgr was a Tiger guy and he and I just stood there shaking our heads laughing, while the rest of the knuckle dragging rampers were p!ssed because it was delaying their getting home or to their "real" jobs! I think these guys just got some time off with out pay if I remember correctly.
They each got 30 days or so off without pay. I think there were only 2 Captains taken "hostage", One from "The Bay area" (OAK) and from "The New York area" (EWR). It was the first night of "self-help" at the end of November 1995. One was removed from his trip upon arrival in Indy and the other in Oakland. While off, they were given monies to make it through by fedex pilots on the company who were called "The Band of Brothers". Different seats positions contributed different amounts.
