Because there is no JCBA the pilots are still operating as seperate groups. l-CAL or l-UA refers to legacy Continental or United(pilots at this point). The s stands for subsidiary CAL or UAL. Again, because no JCBA yet, the pilot groups are still seperate(training, hiring, flying, etc).
And people cannot just say CAL or UAL side? That crap has gone down the regionals and theres now people saying legacy expressjet and ASA. Yuck
