If no other carrier has the capacity, or has announced additional flights servicing CVG then this “end of Comair” theory might not be as accurate as many might think.
There still is a very viable market in the CVG area. Would Delta leave that much $ on the table and withdraw completely from CVG and if so for what reason?
If Delta doesn’t withdraw, who has the capacity to supply the feed to the mainline acft in CVG?
I do believe that the DTW CRJ’s could easily be (re)moved elsewhere system wide, but the CVG CR7/9’s would be a very difficult loss.

Last I knew, Delta had quite a few contractors. Just one airline doesn't have to pick up the little flying we are doing. Fall time is perfect for any airline to pick up flying since their fall schedule is not as full. Their planes can be better utilized and begin taking delivery of the comair 700/900 fleet.
