Actually, I have to echo both CB and phlyer's posts.
I agree with CB -- there are just some dudes (and I'm sure, dudettes) who just love to b*tch about something/someone they have no idea about. Give the guy a chance and then some -- it's a tough job being the SCP. At least this guy sounds reasonable and besides, the majority of people that know him have had favorable comments on this venue.
HOWEVER.......
I have to agree with phlyer too. He is EXACTLY right about the 1.5hr delay from curbside to jet in the "land of not quite right." And if you've never been there, done that, and gotten the t-shirt you have no idea. That was the rub earlier on JL flying to/from MEM-ORF for yrs and yrs before moving to the MD. I think his eyes were opened when he saw what goes on in the system half a world away where El Capitan sometimes has no guidance and has to make a critical decision in minimal time.
