Traffic tickets and hiring
I found a similar thread, so hopefully I'm not wasting anybody's time with a little bit different question. I recently got pulled over for not wearing my seatbelt. The officer pulled up next to me at the first stop light after I left my neighborhood, and noticed it. I'm won't make excuses, it was a stupid mistake, I was complacent about putting it on promptly. The fine is pretty small and it carries no points. All in all, a good reminder to observe the rules and play it safe.
Nonetheless, I have an otherwise clean driving record and with the amount of movement at the regional I fly for, I might be in a position to start applying to the majors in the near future. I'm concerned about the impact of such a ticket in recent history on my record. I know competition for jobs is fierce, and I'd hate to see my application set aside because of it. Does anybody with airline hiring experience think such a violation would present a problem? Or am I worried about nothing? My record is otherwise squeaky clean.
Thanks to everyone for your responses! Buckle up!
