Comair didn't take Delta flying. Comair started service to cities that no one flew to out of CVG...that's how they made so much money. It wasn't anyone's flying to take. Delta purchased Comair because it was such a money maker/threat (don't know which) Comair did not start as a low cost regional taking flying from mainline...they started markets that mainline didn't service..and then serviced them with jets.
