I can relate to this statement however it is a gross over-generalization. I've seen many 1000+ hour students come to training and not have a clue.....even those with jet experience....Its sad when holding procedures are a mystery to these people.

Experience and training is about quality not quantity... yes the times listed are very low, however this is a skill based business.... time doesn't make you qualified, skills do.
