A new hire into the VFE Program would very likely be available to move into an ASIP position at a future date.

One huge benefit obviously would be getting your foot into the Federal door. Not just in the door - but in the door with a Federal flying job. Also working in the same location and along side people who will be doing the interviewing and hiring for future ASIP positions. Flying the FIOM and learning aspects of the job as additional benefits.
