In brief, virtually nothing good can come from using CH9 for the pilots. Do the pax like it? Some do. That's nice but the reality is the chances of someone choosing to fly uCAL because of CH 9 is very slim. And the reality of them complaining to mother uCAL and on the innernets (if its not on) is very real. Sure its not much, but its one arrow in a severely depleted quiver.

There have been many instances whereby pilots have gotten into hot water with the FAA due to relatively insignificant episodes that pax have reported due misunderstanding of what they heard on CH 9. These instances were then blown out of proportion and created plenty of angst for the pilots involved and then ALPA trying to fix the problem. Why bother?

More importantly and more to the point of my post:

El Hefe told former MEC chair Morse that "the numbers don't show it" when she told him that more and more UAL pilots were growing sick and tired of the pace of negotiations and the souring working relationship between uCAL management and the UAL pukes flying the line. We're under a court imposed TRO and leverage is a but a whispy fart of what it has been in the past. But leverage is leverage. Are the Marvins really that happy working under this POS contract? Or are they really that spineless? Do they have no concept of what has been stolen from them under the BS bankruptcy?
Do they have no appreciation of the hard work that pilots have done in the past to further the quality of life of the average line puke? I can't figure it out.

Let's just all put on a happy face, snug on that Cap in "military fashion" and make happy PA's at the gate prior to departure!
