So we all know that part of maintaining instrument currency involves completing a minimum of 6 instrument approaches in the preceeding 6 months. My question relates to logging said approaches in accordance with regs.

Are you required to log that you flew 6 approachs and list where they were and what type of approach it was. (e.g. 2/2/02 IAD ILS 19R). Or is it legal to simply log it as a ILS approach executed on a specific day? (e.g. 2/2/02 ILS)
