Hate to say this about my competition... but it seems to be a pretty smart move~
If (in a few years from now) Delta is able to save 100-200 million a year versus the competition during the next down cycle, that will be huge!

There does come a point where you need to start thinking outside of the box.. and it seems as if Delta is doing just that.
Just hope that the Pilots can also see that, and can get their fair share of the pie~
