So I decide to go to CVG yesterday and went by some of the old sites. First stop was Concourse A where of course it was empty. Lot of flyCVG signage. Next I wanted to check out HQ. The place was devastated. I saw the security gaurds who told me the place was on lock down etc. I still find it hard to believe that Delta (Northwest) just to settle a vendetta allowed this.
That press release of Comairs' cost being out of line was a whole lot of tiolet paper. First you reduce a wholly owned to having the most senior employees and then complain about the cost? You did it to have an excuse to get rid of them.
Well enough of that. It was just sad to see what happened. Wonder why Delta just didn't allow Comair to become employee owned? You know IPO then hey guys, your on your own.
I then saw that Flight Safety was closing as well as GE Avaition. The folks there did not undestand Deltas' reasoning either. Oh well. Yesterday was just.........sad.

Comair was on the market for years. No employee purchase attempt was made. I doubt a IPO would have worked without huge long term employee concessions.
