He said that they had about 5 airlines represented, from Delta down to ASA. He said they had them lined up at a table like a panel discussion when the question was raised about bridge programs and lowered time minimums. He says that they started with delta requiring something like 500/100 and that as they went down the line the numbers were getting lower. By the time they got to ASA they were saying that with a bridge program they would be looking for guys with 200/10. Some of the regionals may hiring at the wet commercial level, but I can guarantee you that Delta is not

Off the street competetive for DAL is probably something like 10,000 hours, 6,000+ Jet PIC.
Most of us aren't really happy about it...there's a lot to be learned by spending 1000-1500 hours in general aviation/135. Personally I think any 121 pilot should hold an ATP.
