A L-UAL furloughee can't take this recall and quit UAL without forfeiting a seniority number. Even if one has no intention to return to UAL why burn a seniority number if you don't have to?

Considering that the many of the more senior L-UAL pilots that took voluntary furlough are sitting on the bottom of the S-CAL list what this recall will cause is an exodus from CAL as those pilots can return to their rightful seats at UAL (widebody FO/narrowbody CA, ect). Assuming, of course, that the JCBA does not address the issue further.
