The last time we were recalled we had to take what we were given regardless of what our seniority could hold. There was no trading allowed like when we were new hires back in 1999-2001. We got a seat lock for 3 years so we were all effectively stuck at the bottom worst paying job for all that time unless we could bid Capt.

Some recalls quit because they were given the Guppy which was only on the east coast and they lived on the west coast and didn't want to commute for 3 years.

I maybe asking to much but what I'd like to see is being able to bid just like any other pilot in the system. Then when something comes up that I can hold I get offered a class date for it. As long as it's within the 10 years of course.

I don't mind a seat lock if it's something I want, but my entire career has been locked into something I didn't want or bid.

Any thoughts?
