HSLD has the point, you need a copy of the PTS for that certficate to aim for. Either print one out for you and your student, or make them buy a printed copy online. It is cheaper to just buy them usually.
You'll also need a syllabus, and unless you want to write one (why bother) you can download a Part 61 suggested syllabus from AOPA for free. Gleim also sells one that is geared toward Part 141 schools, but is easily adapted to Part 61. I personally prefer the
Gleim syllabus. Make the student pay for their copy, and you can use it to check on their progress. I also used to keep an Excel spreadsheet of what they had done and still needed to do, it gets sort of fussy at the commercial level.
