Thank you sir. Agree completely. There are many different routes to becoming a professional pilot. All are valid. The key is quality of training by CFIs (where most of us started), the hard work of sim instructors during checkout, and finally continuous mentoring by experienced Captains. The attitude that each imparts is crucial. I often wish that all who fly (or have flown )professionally would address each other as if they worked together, there would be less controversy. But then again we are human, competitive, and in the case of the younger generation, have a case of raging hormones.
