I wouldn't recommend anyone going to a major aviation university. But I've stated that multiple times already. My path went smoothly because it was planned out to cost as little as possible with maximum return. I had already made over 36,000 dollars off of flying by the time I graduated college at the age of 22.
Anything can happen in the future in ANY career. That is not isolated to aviation in any way, shape, or form.
I agree that wise planning can make a big difference in any path. Before I log off, I realize I derailed the thread a bit so here's something I quoted earlier to bring it back on track.

skyhigh is very balanced. He "played the game" and saw just how devastating aviation can be. He is on a mission to save careers and lives. The flight school owners like usmcflyer et al would love nothing more than to find an excuse to ban him.
