Well, it depends. It depends on how much weight and where in the weight breaks it falls. It's not a linear scale - it's cheaper (per pound/100lbs/ton) to move more than it is to move less and the rate tables reflect this.

They have to move it. You may just have to pay the difference if it's more. It'll still be far, far cheaper than paying someone to move it yourself.


Another thing to consider is a partial DITY. Move some of the stuff yourself and get paid for it - it may help offset any difference in cost.
