When I had no 121 experience I still found out as much info as I could about the regionals and read this forum a lot. I had one airline I really wanted to go to. I kept my job as a CFI longer than most of my co-workers who were just applying to any regional they could and I eventually got a job with the company I wanted to be at. I believe it's the same one you work for.

I don't see it as entitlement to want to get info and narrow it down to just a few companies. I didn't "know" I was going to get hired, but I was willing to wait it out and keep trying for a little while before moving on.
