I would have been happy to have walked out of college and straight into a 727FE job for Alaska Airlines. Instead I ended up flying oddball bush and forest service jobs that others might envy. Anyone can make it to the big time but even you must admit that the odds are long and consequences dire for those who fall short.
People are making a huge investment. It is akin to buying 160K in lottery tickets. If you win then gambling is great. I wanted a career what I got was an adventure instead and I don't want no adventure. I do not think that most others who enter the profession want an adventure either. They need to start earning a small fortune in order to pay off their massive student loans.
