Zman: Collierville is a nice town. We moved here in 02 and my wife and kids love it here. In the price range you are likely to be looking at it will be hard to go wrong. Its a pretty small town so it will only take about a day with a friend or realtor to narrow down your choices of neighborhoods. I would go as far south or north as I could to get away from the noise of the trains that run right through the middle of town along Poplar.

Yes we are too close to Memphis (same would be true for any large city in my opinion), but it has worked out very nicely for us.
