G550 or Global Express Type?
I have the opportunity to obtain a G550 or Global Express type rating and am trying to decide which aircraft will open more opportunities for contract flying. While I would have 0 time in type, I wonder if my 3000+ hours in the Challenger 850 will offset that if I were to get the BD700 rating. Conversely, there seems to be over 1000 variants of the G550 vs 250 BD700s in the USA, but less contractors available on the Global. I have extensive international experience as well.
Need to decide in a week! Thoughts and advice will be appreciated.
