The more you know the more you realize you don't know. I just busted out the second systems book for the Merlin and there's all kinds of things I have no idea about lol. I just don't see how knowing what controls each generator is important to me. I know how to use it, it's limits, and when to shut it off and call the mechanic. I never cared how it was built and different from others.
I'd be careful busting in there with the Merlin stuff. Chances are you will be asked which aircraft you want to talk about. I don't know how much experience you have with the Merlin but if its been limited or not very in-depth you could find yourself in a tough spot if the guy sitting across from you has upteen bazillion hours in the Merlin. I would go with whatever twin you have the most time in. Just a thought.
Hopefully they don't grill you on IFR procedures, stabilized approaches or how to go direct to a random point in space using a GPS
