Hey Bons, I currently instruct at IASCO. I've been here for just about all of 2012. I can help make sure you get through the interview...it's a long nasty one and there are a few simple things the interviewer looks for. If you know it's really easy. There's a lot to tell you. Some of it is PM only type stuff. I joined to respond to this thread to try to help you out. I don't think I have PM priveleges yet.
This may not be where you want to instruct to help your career and build hours. IASCO is very much a mission-oriented school. That mission is training ab-initio students for Chinese airlines. It is a place where people who want to be CFIs for a career can do very well. They don't care in the slightest about your career progression, and they will tell you some things that aren't true leading you to believe they do help instructors. They will actually work against your progession at points for many reasons.
Some people really do like IASCO, I still consider coming here to try to become a professional pilot a mistake.
Can you post an email address that I can send to? I'd like to send you some more in depth information, including the interview gouge and what it's like. I'd like to know what your goals are.
