I was on an ALPA regional airline committe with folks from comair, simmons (that was an Eagle carrier way back when), us air express, a continentsl express carrier, and ASA...and some old guy Babbit? (Sp) was at the helm of ALPA during those days. (Circa 1992/1992)

We were tasked with developing a system wide flow up/flow down agreement. The committe chair was a feller from Comair named Danny (florida brakillia capt). We all worked for nearly a year on the proposal and developed a nifty system which allowed regional captains flow up to their respective main line carrier and allowed the main line carrier to flow down to the regional in the event of furlough. ALPA national commended us.."nice work boys, but we will only accept flow down for us and preferential interview for y'all."

Oh the audacity! Oh the humanity! Funny how when Delta furloughed a tug boat load of pilots the Comair and ASA boys kept on
flying.
