Shortage of pilots in corporate realm?
Well- the thread title needs little explanation but with the shortage in the regional world (sucking up pilots with a wet-inked commercial multi) and with soo many corporate jets on order, how does things look (hiring wise) on the corporate side? I have always thought the job would be great and a big difference from the 121 world but even with a good connection -being without any jet experience had me on the outside looking in. What do yall think? With ATP mins and at least 500 Jet SIC is there a chance to get into the corporate side (in the right seat at least)? I know insurance runs the show but somebody has to fly the planes! I am currently at a 121 regional flying an RJ and am just thinking about the next step (whenever that may come, currently waiting to upgrade and get the magic 1000jet PIC)... but a corporate job would be nice...
