I had heard that there were still many ABX captains doing $300k, where at Atlas that is rare. Average 744 captain gets just above $200k.
BTW, I'm looking at it from a management point of view. Atlas management is pretty happy with the current Atlas contract. It has very few rules and no protections.
I guess none of us has protection from a rape and pillage mentality.
"still many ABX captains doing 300K" is a bit of a stretch...I think at any airline you have a few guys that "*****'" themselves out but most are in the 180-200 range and that is only because of vbb and screw-up pay...ie..carryover days..training on days off or the odd JRM. The company loves the few that do not put a value on their home life and are willing to do the work of 1.5 pilots and work 25 days a month and only have to pay benefits/training/retirement for 1.
