the problem isnt just getting people to fill the seats the company cant even get the people through training. they dont have the resources to process that many pilots. The current wait for sim and IOE on the Q is over two months. Last summer a 170 captain bid was cancelled because of lack of sim time. The 170 is a popluar airplane around the world and there are not alot of available sims. The company was in discousion to send check airman to australia to get new hire/upgrades completed.
