ere are a long list of BS things that are foisted upon us in this industry. I would like to see most of them either reduced, or disappear. For that to happen, people are going to have to do exactly what the poster you have criticized has done: Refuse a job offer on the grounds of undesirable pay or working conditions.
We will make leaps of progress in this industry when we applaud people for having enough self-respect to require higher standards regarding working conditions and/or compensation. This nonsense of telling people to "man-up" and whatnot does nothing but mount peer pressure in the direction of worsening conditions for all of us.
