Default FDX Companies

FDX Corporation includes several companies in addition to FedEx Express.
List includes:
FedEx Ground
FedEx Freight
FedEx National LTL (division Of FedEx Freight, formerly Watkins Motor Freight)
FedEx Kinko's
FedEx Trade Networks
FedEx Supply Chain Services
FedEx Custom Critical
FedEx Services (in-house IT Company)

See the FedEx web page for details on these companies. http://www.fedex.com/us/about/today/companies/?link=4

All of these companies’ FedEx logos have a purple “Fed” but different colors for the “Ex”. Driving down the highway, you will see the “EX” in orange, red, green, light blue, aqua, and yellow. FedEx Services “EX” is grey; you won’t see trucks with this color logo on the highway.

All these companies contribute to the total revenues for FDX Corporation. In Fiscal year 2003, FedEx Express accounted for 73% of the total revenue of FDX Corporation. Presently, FedEx Express accounts for about 65% of the total FDX Company’s revenues. Since 2000, FDX Corporation has diversified to not have all the eggs in one basket. These sister companies of FedEx Express can not do what Express does which is long haul overnight delivery.
But these companies enhance the competitive structure of the total company while contributing a healthy amount of the total revenues.
The CRM cliché of 1 + 1 equals 3 applies here.
