Ahhhh, but you're probably the exception. How many guys left FedEx and UPS in the '90's to go to Delta and United? Probably as many as left Southwest to go to American. I think MOST of the people that left in the 90s, late 90s, were those being recalled. They had already applied
there and were going back. Thre were a few that left that weren't furloughees, including a well known case of one of our guys that was married to one of our gals, he left for AA in the middle of his Capt upgrade during the summer of '01!
But I do agree with your point. YOu never know if you made the right choice until the day you retire, and even then.....
