All the variables being EXACTLY the same, the King Air guy would get it.

But the important variables actually DO include 121, glass, and jet, so our hypothetical "equal" king air guy would need to have already done time as a regional FO for the variables to be equal.

If your career is all 91, with king air PIC the biggest and most complex you are missing a whole bunch of check boxes. IMO this would all come down to internal connections...if you have good ones, you're in. If you don't, you will not be competitive off the street, probably even less competitive than a regional FO.

Someone will be along shortly to talk about how they pulled it off, but they'll probably forget to mention their Uncle Joe (the DAL regional CP). Yes, it can be done but the odds are not good. There are no absolute answers in aviation hiring but we can make a good ballpark guess at the odds.
