I'd suggest multi-crew jet time over PIC since there have been many regional FOs with very little PIC hired here and the SIC time is usually a lot easier to get quickly. I suggest getting jet time ASAP. We hired around 450 last year and this year we will probably only bring in between 250 and 350. Nobody with any real knowledge has given the word for next year yet. We are growing by a little over 30 airframes this year (getting many more, but selling off a bunch of high time airframes also). It will probably be similar for the next few years at least. The only way we'll really open it up again is if the older guys start retiring a lot faster and even then the sim slots at Flight Safety have been hard to come by and the training department seems to have slowed things down since they had such a hideous bottleneck last year.
