I have been doing alot of reseach on the new 1500 hundred hour rule and I am worried that short of being a US militarty pilot it is going to become almost impossible to attain the 1500 hours required for the ATP. It looks like other pilots out there are in the same boat. I was going to try to do the CFI but I found that I was only flying once a week. There are a few mapping compines that are flying in 172's one of my buddies is doing it but stays in his tent at night. He did find that in Pensacola FL there is a company that has dirt cheap time building that we are going to do this summer but the catch is that there must be two pilots in the plane at the same time. Is this the road most are taking now for the requirments?
