Well.. can't speak of others cockpit management. All I'm saying is how I operate.

I don't get into discussions with them as I don't waste my time. I can occupy the few hours I'm in the cockpit alone with them in other ways. Catching up on all the Operational Changes we've had, learning the new Contract, keeping track of my pay, etc...

Then again, that's just me~
